Dear Editor, Filariasis is a parasitic disorder and is endemic in many parts of the world especially in the tropical countries including India. The disease presents itsel predominantly in lymphatic and cutaneous forms and caused by Wuchereria bancrofti and Brugia malayi The adult worms can be demonstrated in a variety of aspiration cytology smears.
